Welcome from KCCC!~

Welcome!  This is an old blog that I have had for years - feel free to look back through it if you want to- I have changed the name of it from "Created for His Glory" to "Kiamichi Country Cowboy Church."  (The former writings may or may not have anything to do with church.) This will be the place to get extra information concerning Kiamichi Country Cowboy Church and what we are currently up to.  We will have future posts on events coming to KCCC like our Play Day Buckle Series Banquet and our Christmas Program to name a few.  I also plan on posting something soon that tells of our history of the church - where we came from and where we are now.  For interest, I plan on featuring people from our church on occasion in order that we get to know each other better.  If you you would like something posted, please contact me.

What denomination is Cowboy Church?

Although Cowboy Church is affiliated with the American Fellowship Of Cowboy
Churches and the Baptist General Convention, we function as an
interdenominational fellowship.

Do I have to be a cowboy to attend Cowboy Church?

Absolutely not. Although many cowboys, cowgirls, and other horse enthusiasts
attend Cowboy Church, our members come from every background and walk of
life. If you would rather wear jeans than dress up, if you enjoy country or blue
grass gospel music, if you like rubbing elbows with plain down to earth people,
and if you want clear simple sermons you can actually understand, you will love
   Cowboy Church.

What happens at a Cowboy Church worship service?

A typical Cowboy Church worship service consists of the singing country praise
songs, country style, performances by one or more of the Cowboy Church bands,
a time of special music and testimony provided by a soloist or guest band, and
the preaching of the Word of God. In addition, it is not unusual to have baptisms
  during a service.

What time are the services?

Cowboy Church currently has Sunday School @ 9:30 and one Sunday service @10:30 a.m.

Wednesday night Bible Study 6:30 pm

Our church is located at 1000 Gloryland Rd., McAlester, OK.

How should I dress at Cowboy Church?

The majority of people at Cowboy Church will wear boots and jeans, many will
wear hats or caps, some will wear shorts, and a few will wear suits or dresses.
All of these are appropriate. The bottom line: wear whatever is comfortable to
you. There is no pretense here. The person in shorts and a ball cap is as welcome
as the one in a suit, and the really neat thing is, no one will notice the difference.
At Cowboy Church we make ourselves at home with God and each other.

What does Cowboy Church believe?

We believe the Bible is the word of God.

We believe in one God that exists in three persons. God the Father, God the Son,
  and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died to save men from their
   sins.

We believe that men are saved by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ.

We believe that baptism is the means by which people are to publicly profess
their faith in Christ and identify themselves with His death, burial, and
resurrection. For more about our beliefs concerning baptism click here.

How is Cowboy Church organized and how does it conduct business?

At Cowboy Church, we believe that those who get their hands dirty should also
be the ones making the decisions. Toward that end, Cowboy Church is organized
around a multitude of ministry teams. .

Does Cowboy Church have programs for my children?

Yes. We currently have Children's Church and just started a Youth Group.
