Fowl Weather

For most of the past week we have been snowed in.  We have baked, played games, ate, watched TV, ate, played on the computer, ate, cleaned house, ate... oh, and did I mention that we have ate?  LOL..

One of the things that we did on Thursday afternoon was go birding.  Right from our living-room window.  We gathered books on Birds in the State of Oklahoma and Birding to set to see how many different kinds we could identify.

Outside in our front yard we filled bird feeders and flung sunflower seeds...and watched... (and the cat did too!)

We saw junkos, goldfinches, purple finches, a dove (just one!), red-winged blackbirds, crows, grackles, cardinals, sparrows....

How is it that something so tiny and delicate can survive snow and cold temperatures?  I just don't understand it!

Good point! We have been feeding our "feathered friends" too and the Grans love watching them come to the feeders and eat.

Yes, we do indeed serve an awesome God. Blessings for a wonderful week!

What a great verse and a good reminder for us about how God will take care of us.

I love hearing the birds outside my window...and it reminds me that spring is just around the corner!

Have a good week!

Oh yes, God is truly amazing! We have been snowed in here in Wis. for so long, I can't remember what grass looks like. I enjoyed visiting you today...
