Jesus Was Sent to Save the World!

John 3:16-18 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

Most of us are very familiar with John 3:16... but have you went on to read what it says after that?  Verse 17 of John 3 tells us that God didn't send his Son into the world to condemn us, but so that through Him we might be saved!

So many are convinced that any talk of Jesus is to condemn them.  When really, they are feeling true guilt, because deep inside they know that they should have a deeper connection to Him... and they don't.  No, God didn't send Jesus into the world to condemn us!  Far the contrary!  He was sent to save us from our sins!  Praise  His Name!

Verse 18 goes on to say that those who believe in Him are not condemned (Hallelujah!), but He who does not is condemned already (by their own choosing) because they have not believed on Him.
