Crossroads Ministries Harvest Party

Today we had our harvest party right after church.  Several people brought horses to ride and there were also two big pulling teams to pull wagons for people in ride in.  Being a horse lover, I couldn't help but drool over the matching huge Belgian pair of draft horses with feet the size of dinner plates, nor the pair of dark dappled palomino horses!  We built a fire early before services since it was a bit cool outside and put the coffee on to start perking.  I spent a lot of time when I wasn't busy helping making sure that the fire stayed stoked... okay, and staying warm!  :-)  McGee Creek Park is beautiful this time of year!  During the service Mitch and I did a session on how being a Christian is like being a pumpkin.  The kids loved it and many adults said that they loved it too. After service we stuffed ourselves with chili dogs and the works.  We had mild chili and "wild" chili which went over like gang busters.  All in all it was a perfect day.  The weather warmed up and it was beautiful outside.

Thank you Lord, for great times, close friends, love, friendship and laughter!

Sounds fun...even though I am not an outside in the cold type person. (:>)
