Rainy Day Reflection

It's been raining for the last hour... cats and dogs~ hard and drenching. We've sure needed it in this area lately. Our hay crops are low and gardens and yards have been thirsty for a deep drink.

I've been studying rain in the bible this morning and wanted to share some general scriptures that interested me. Hope you enjoy~

Genesis 7:4
Seven days from now I will make the rains pour down on the earth. And it will rain for forty days and forty nights, until I have wiped from the earth all the living things I have created.”

Genesis 7:12
The rain continued to fall for forty days and forty nights.

Leviticus 26:4
I will send you the seasonal rains. The land will then yield its crops, and the trees of the field will produce their fruit.

Job 12:15
If he holds back the rain, the earth becomes a desert. If he releases the waters, they flood the earth.

Job 28:26
He made the laws for the rain and laid out a path for the lightning.

Psalm 147:8
He covers the heavens with clouds, provides rain for the earth, and makes the grass grow in mountain pastures.

Zechariah 14:17
Any nation in the world that refuses to come to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, will have no rain.

Matthew 7:25
Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.
