Do you need to be mentored? No matter where each of us stand in our walk of life from Billy Graham down to the tiniest of children, from men to women, we ALL need mentoring. We will never reach the top where we have learned it all and no longer need anyone over us in our lives. If we think we've reached there, we are sadly mistaken and the enemy has us where he wants us.

To be mentored you have to be willing to listen. There is the old saying that God gave us one mouth and two ears~ to show us that we need to listen well! LOL

John 8:47
Anyone who belongs to God listens gladly to the words of God.

Hebrews 2:1 So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.

To be mentored you have to be willing to be bendable. Is your heart willing? Is it willing to learn something new? To do something differently?

2 Chronicles 29:31
Then Hezekiah declared, “Now that you have consecrated yourselves to the Lord, bring your sacrifices and thanksgiving offerings to the Temple of the Lord.” So the people brought their sacrifices and thanksgiving offerings, and all whose hearts were willing brought burnt offerings, too.

1 Chronicles 28:9
“And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

I have mentored and I have been mentored. Both places hold the most precious of times in my life.

Be willing and listen... allow yourself to be mentored.... we all need someone to look up to. We should actually seek those out that we desire to be most like... to learn from their biblical knowledge and their ways.
